I haven't linked to many mainstream press articles in a number of years, but I am pleased to share this piece from today's San Francisco Chronicle on the bounceback of the comics retail industry in that region.
Not simply because of its thesis, which I agree with, but also because it's a bit of a reunion of the crew from the late Comics & Games Retailer magazine, which I edited for many years. Brian Hibbs wrote the "Tilting at Windmills" column, which was reprinted in two volumes from IDW — and, of course, Joe Field was the mind behind Free Comic Book Day, which he initially suggested in the pages of the magazine.
